Dr. Allison Horan is a psychotherapist and psychopharmacologist in private practice in San Francisco, California. She is board-certified in Adult & Forensic Psychiatry, having completed medical school at New York University (NYU) and residency and fellowship at University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Her background, prior to pursing medicine, was in anthropology, and she remains deeply moved by and interested in the nuances of  human experience.

Allison is a curious, warm, and engaged clinician. She sees adults for in-person and remote therapy, typically on a weekly basis. She has advanced knowledge in psychopharmacology and is comfortable working with individuals for whom prescribing medication (and/or de-prescribing medication) is a part of the therapeutic process.
